Bring the paperwork
Your discharge letter or your surgeon's protocol tells us what is allowed and when: how much weight you may put through the limb, which ranges of movement are restricted, and for how long. We work inside that, not around it.
If you do not have it, bring whatever you do have. What we will not do is guess at restrictions after a repair.
What the phases look like
Early on the goals are swelling, protected range of movement and reactivating muscle that switched off after surgery. In the middle phase, strength and control under progressively real load. Late, the specific demands of your life or sport: stairs, a return to running, overhead work, lifting a child.
Timelines depend on the procedure. Knee ligament reconstruction is a different curve from a rotator cuff repair or a hip replacement, and being ahead of schedule is not a goal.
Equipment for home
For knee recovery we also rent CPM devices for use at your own home in Zagreb, which is often useful in the first weeks when range of movement is the priority. Ask us when you book.

- How soon after surgery should I start?
- As soon as your surgeon clears you, which for many procedures is within days rather than weeks. Waiting until you feel ready usually means starting from further back.
- Do I need a referral?
- No. Bring your discharge letter or surgical report so the plan matches the protocol, but no referral is required to book.
- How long will rehabilitation take?
- It depends on the procedure. Many knee and shoulder repairs need three to six months of structured work, with the visits getting further apart as you progress. You get an estimate at the first assessment.
- Can I be treated at home?
- Yes, within the city of Zagreb, which many people prefer in the first weeks when moving around is difficult. Home visit rates differ from clinic rates, so ask when booking.
