Sports massage in Zagreb
Recovery between hard sessions, and the assessment that catches the thing about to become an injury.
In short
A sports massage session is 50 EUR for 60 minutes, performed by a licensed physiotherapist. Book deep work at least 48 hours before you compete, and lighter work closer to the event.
What it is for
Three things, usually. Clearing the heaviness that builds up across a training block. Working on the specific tissue that limits you, the calves of a runner or the forearms of a climber. And catching problems early, because a physiotherapist working on your legs every few weeks notices asymmetry before it becomes a six-week layoff.
If something already hurts
Pain that has lasted more than two weeks, that wakes you at night, or that changes how you move is not a massage problem. Book physical therapy instead and the assessment will tell you what is actually going on.
Frequently asked questions
- When should I book relative to a race or match?
- A firm, deep session belongs at least 48 hours before competing, because the tissue needs time to settle. In the 24 hours before, a lighter flushing session is the safer choice. Never try a new style of massage for the first time the day before an event.
- How soon after training or a race can I come?
- A light recovery session is fine the same day. Deeper work is better 24 to 48 hours later, once the initial soreness has peaked.
- Is sports massage only for competitive athletes?
- No. Most people who book it train recreationally: running, cycling, climbing, football, gym work. The tissue does not know whether you have a race number.
- I have a current injury. Is massage still appropriate?
- Sometimes yes, sometimes no, and that is what the assessment is for. If the injury needs a rehabilitation plan rather than massage, you will be told and offered physical therapy instead.
